Elizabeth Elsewhere (Sept 2026)

I have another piece out in Asterisk, The Unacknowledgeable Work of Pastors’ Wives. This is a follow up to last year’s piece on church planting and the isomorphism to VC start-up culture.

I was also featured in an episode of The Students, talking about how I got my weird research career. The one thing I wish I’d talked about more was how good being in a normal job for 10 years was for me. It let me build runway and develop into the kind of person who could do these weird things and I heartily recommend the general idea to young people, although the specific path of programmer is not looking so hot anymore.
